Anyone have issues with Bluetooth calls having a weird electronic noise and barely being able to understand the person you called?

I did some experimenting and when I first call I have this problem, but if I switch the speaker from the truck's to my phones and then back to the truck, it sounds fine.

(I have my phone plugged in to a USB port)

Hey there. I can look into your Maverick’s Bluetooth concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

So I have very poor phone call Bluetooth connectivity, people struggle to hear me on calls sighting muffled calls and heavy road noise in the background. This is an issue for me because this is my commuter vehicle and I use the phone via Bluetooth for work while driving. I am very familiar with the Ford product, I currently own a 2019 ford Edge ST, a 2019 F-250 Lariat Ultimate with $50k in mods and have a 2023 F-450 on order. My Maverick is a first Edition Lariat. Other than this issue I love the truck, but the problem is so bad I am going to sell / trade it if it cannot be resolved which is sad.

Thank you in advance.

No problems here from either end of calls made, or received, from our Lariat Maverick with the premium sound system. We use Kyocera DuraXA flip phones via bluetooth and have not noticed any problems. Actually the call quality is pretty darned good, it even has good bass and does not sound tinny.
I have not tried using the USB connection.

At first I attributed this problem to my old POS Android phone, but today sync'd my wife's iPhone, and got the same "electronic" noise result. Bluetooth connection, not via USB cord.

Anyone else? HRG

I haven't experienced blue tooth noise but it reliably disconnects at least once every time I drive. Most of the time it reconnects after a minutes, but sometimes it refuses to reconnect and goes into this weird state where I can't get sound, but it says it's connected in one menu and disconnected in another. When it does that you have to shut the engine off and leave it off for a bit before restarting. Then it usually connects again.

Only does it once per drive and when it reconnects it stays connected.

I'm taking the truck to Ford in about a week for this, we'll see what they say!

nope. :(

I think it might be my phone, it's a Pixel 5. Oddly sometimes it works okay, others the issue happens. :(

I've got issues with the call quality too. 2023 Lariat 2.0L. Lots of background noise, muffled, hollow audio quality, people having a hard time understanding me. My last few trucks were F150's and I've never had this issue before.
Edit: I'm using an iPhone 13.

Mine was so bad I won’t even use it as hands free. Question for you when you do all that switching of the speaker is someone still connected to you phone or is that after they or you had up? Once you’ve done that does the Maverick remember it or do you have to do it again on the next call?
I had the same issue with a 2012 Fusion that Ford never fixed.

I think if I'm in the call and switch and then switch back it comes back okay, it's just the initial connection sucks. It isn't fixed even with the most recent update.
