Issue installing software update

I have been attempting to download the latest software update with no luck. I connected to my wifi about 30 ft from the router and it did not download. I then hooked up my cellphone as a hot spot and that did not work wither. Any ideas why this is happening?

I have gotten lucky a few times on other cars but I recently had issues with my mustang and ended up saving the file to my USB which is much easier and you can do the update while driving instead of letting it sit wasting gas. Hope this helps!

When I did the upgrade (maybe a month ago? Can't remember when...) I literally just had to try to initiate it like three times. My wifi has two bands, 2.4 and 5 GHz, I believe I connected it to the 5 GHz band. You also have to keep the truck in park and at the very least the ignition on. I just left the truck running. Hopefully it'll work eventually! Just one of those things where you just have to prod it enough.

i think it came out in early March.

I just got 2.1.0.1 on Monday. Up from 2.0.0.1 from around October.

I completed this update today with no issues. I had asked my dealer to complete it last week when it was in for airbag recall, but I found out a day after picking up it was not done and I called the dealer and they said my vehicle showed no updates needed when they connected to it ( I’m not sure if I should believe that story ).
It took about 10 minutes to download ( 200 Meg Cable modem Wi-Fi ) with the truck running while sitting in my garage. After download completed I had to do a soft reset ( holding power button and >> button for 5 seconds ) to get the software update to register.
Maybe your Wi-Fi signal is not strong enough in the area your Mav connects? Wireless signals can get blocked and degraded depending on many factors related to the physical layout of a house and/or signal interference

I ended up going the USB route too when I previously updated the software....
