Like I said in earlier post. It's not a catastrophic thing. I just wanted to disable it if possible...no real biggie...just annoying to me. My 2023 Subaru Outback was able to disable this for example.
I don't like the autolock on my 2026 Lariat either and there is no way to disable. Being able to set all doors and tailgate to auto unlock does solve my main issue but some window is going to get broken if your unable to open the door during an accident or medical emergency.

My dad's preacher refused to wear s seatbelt; he said he was afraid the if the car ran off the road into a pond, he didn't want to be trapped in the car. I suggested that 1) the chance of ending up in a pond was much more remote than other types of collisions, and 2) you first have to survive and remain conscious before you will be able to extract yourself from under water.

I wonder if the doors are being included in the structural integrity of the roof in a rollover - therefore they really need to be in place as best possible to meet their testing results - therefore they auto-lock to try to make that happen.

Great Point. Have no idea if that is fact, but imo that would be an Excellent reason why the auto lock is in place. The additional structural integrity with the doors locked/closed position of the vehicle in a roll over makes total sense to me.

If it is a matter of life and death do you care if they break a window? Of course in the case of an accident where you are disabled and unable to unlock the door it probably wouldn't have mattered if the door flew open and you exited the vehicle during the event.
