Ford Maverick Is the Ford Maverick Lariat Worth $40k? 1759346565323-4v
Worth 40k ? I guess it depends. I bought a 25 Lariat W/4K, when I was researching what my next vehicle would be I did not find anything that was the equivalent of the Maverick in general, or the Lariat.
I wanted a small 4wd hybrid truck, I wanted the ACC, I would have lined the bed and added the tie-downs, and the wife wanted the better seats heated steering wheel, the fancy stuff.
Worth it? I think so, at least on that there is no real competition in this category.

I paid close to 40 for mine. I got a good bit of add ons so it elevated the price a good bit. Moonroof, Fx4 package, bed cover etc.

Well that's good news. I have an appointment tomorrow with my Ford dealer to look at the
2024 Lariat Tremors. They have 14 on their lot and they don't seem to be selling. All of them
are listed at $37k. Guess I'll have to test my negotiating skills.

But I will also look at the 2025 Maverick Tremors and Rangers. So anything could happen!

Since most Mavericks, particularly the Hybrids, are pushing well over $40K these days, they should add just a couple of more features to justify the price increase. For me, it would be ventilated/perforated seats to compliment the heated seats and actual LED taillights. I say that because Ford falsely mentions on their online configurator and window sticker that the Lariat comes with LED taillights. No they don't.

Yes, there's an LED daytime running light but the brake lights themselves are incandescent, as well as the reverse lights. The Lariat should get a full LED taillight with LED turn signals and reverse lights. As is the case with upgraded Rangers or F-150s. And if you're gonna do that, make the front turn signals LEDs. Or do what most manufacturers do where you combine the running light with the turn signals and they cancel each other out when in use.

Here's the two Mavericks I'll be looking at tomorrow.

I agree the $38,775 that my dealer is asking is too much...

I like that it's in my favorite color. I don't like the smaller screen and slightly less mpg.

Another choice of mine is this 2025 Tremor. It's in my second choice color. Gets a bit better
mpg and has the large screen that I like.

$1520 difference in price. If the dealer offers the 2024 at a low 30's price then I'll buy it.

Nope not worth it to me. I went with A 24 XLT hybrid. Love some of the lariat features but could not justify the price. XLT was a great middle ground. Not to mention that the 24 has knobs for radio and climate controls.

I think things like memory seats and 100% LED brake/turn lights are left off to entice you to step up to the Ranger. With the Ranger you can't get vent seats on the highest trims, so move up to the F-150 if you want that, etc. I'm sure there's been a lot of arguing and debating about what things should or should not be left off of the high trim Mavs and Rangers over the past few years lol.

I don't see the infatuation with 100% LED taillights, most (all?) of them are sealed so if a "bulb" burns out you have a super expensive paperweight. I'd rather just replace a bulb ...
That being said, LEDs make for nice running lights like the ones on my Lariat.

I don't think so, but as long as Ford doesn't forgot about the more spartan trims, I don't see the issue. If I understand it correctly the higher price vehicles have more profit margin anyway, so I guess they subsidize the cheaper models.

A year in it's still hard for me to see the point of anything besides a FWD XL or XLT hybrid, though. Really quickly a Ranger or Frontier makes more sense if you need to tow or go places FWD unibody car can't take you.
