Looking for suggestions. Left my window open over night during a down pour, have tried to run fans but seats still seem to be holding dampness. Any suggestions on what to do would be greatly appreciated. I ALREADY KNOW THE FIRST----ROLL UP MY WINDOWS.

Heat would help speed up the drying but don't catch it on fire!

Also try to remove what you can with absorbent towels. Or even paper towels but you'll go through a lot of them!

Tried that, it's the seats giving me the most trouble, they feel like a big sponge. A little scared of putting any heaters in there,

Get some towels, put on your swimming suit and have a seat!

Seriously though, maybe trying to squeeze as much out as possible would be your best bet.

I've used dessicant dehumidifier when the rear exhaust vents had leaked in previous truck. Like a Ivation 13 pint. Works in cold weather also.

Rent one of the giant high flow floor drying fans from an Equipment Rental place. Buy some plastic sheeting. Tape the sheeting so that it fits around your front drivers window and attach to fan output. Crack rear passenger window a couple inches. Let the fan run overnight (with fan outside the Maverick on the ground). Your goal is to move the humidity out and replace with dry air. Just takes time. Let science help you.

This assumes you have somewhere secure (and not super humid) to do this out of the rain/out of an open parking lot/driveway.

wet vacuum for the seats, suck as much water as you can out and then air dry/hair dry the wettest spots... otherwise your best bet is airing it out over days - sounds like if you're getting rain that's not an option

About 15 years ago I forgot to close my Moonroof on my dodge Dakota.. And it rained over night... I tried to soak up what I could with towels then I left the windows cracked and turned the heat on full blast and started the truck I can't remember how long I let it run but I want to say it was like 10hrs... But it did dry up

I assume you already used a shop vac? After that, lots of airflow.

Ahh yes. My plan, but gas powered and with a built in heater. Haha. I would probably stick it on "Max Defrost" with the AC on. That would dry out the air and heat it. Only crack one back window to keep most of the heat and dry air in while still pumping out some air constantly.

Yeah I was going to suggest a dehumidifier
Pretty sure some places rent them, but I wouldn’t know where

In the shop when we get a water leak car we let the car run heat on high and close all windows but crack one rear a couple inches and just leave it for hours.
