Texted my agent when I kicked up the truck just to be sure everything would be good. Got letter from Erie today with new policy, and a refund check for remainder of current policy. Going from 18 escape SEL to 22 maverick XLT, policy dropping $300/year, couldn’t believe it? Curious if it’s that way for everyone?

Well..... As a matter of fact:
I got my Maverick on earlier this month. When I called to add it to my coverage I was quoted a price that was $90 (every six months) less than what I'm paying for my 2018 Ford Escape SEL

I didn't realize it was $90 less until I just happened to receive the bill for the 2018 Escape's insurance a few days ago. So I do plan on calling and asking why the four year old Escape is more money.

I am certain the coverage limits are the same. A lot of things go into insurance companies setting rates. Maybe it's because the Escape is AWD and would cost more to repair? Maybe the Escape is a car that gets in more accidents than average? IDK. But I will be asking next Monday.

My insurance went down (don't remember by how much). Went from a 2019 Hyundai Tucson SEL to the Maverick XLT, Eco, with AWD. A pleasant surprise for sure.

Yes I had a 2015 Chevy Z71 Silverado that I traded in for my Maverick. I made money trading in my Silverado 4 my Maverick basically my Maverick was free. I carry a 200 dollar deductible on the Silverado because of living in Tennessee with things falling off the side of the mountains and the bad storms we get I also got a refund check when I changed over to my Maverick nice to see my insurance go down for once.

I had the first Maverick in a top 5 insurance companies system. Took forever the safety stuff wasn’t in the computer so my rates actually rose. Reminds me I need to revisit that issue. Did get a cut for safe driving app.

My yearly rate dropped as well, discount for emergency autonomous braking, and even got an ECO vehicle rebate for having a hybrid. We have no fault here, so not much of a change otherwise.

Copilot is likely the reason. My 2020 Escape is cheaper than my 2008 Escape it replaced and my agent said it was the safety features.

Also, look into an umbrella policy. I ended up with more liability coverage and ended up paying less per month.

Yes, surprisingly cheap to insure the Maverick. AAA quoted me at ~$90 per month. It is worth noting this does include my AAA member discount, home and auto bundle, etc.

slightly different situation for me, but equally good news. I have Progressive on my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee since it was new. Currently paying $228.50 for 6 months policy- bare bones required coverage in Colorado. Called Progressive and asked for a quote for adding my Maverick to existing Jeep policy as I am keeping the Jeep. They said it would add only .49 Cents to my 6 months term I just renewed. I made sure to tell them there would be no lienholder (usually requires full coverage when you finance) since I was paying in full and only wanted the same base bones coverage as the Jeep had. YMMV.

Traded in a 2017 civic. Mine went down about 3 bucks a month.

idk, have Amica and called from Oct 24 to the end of the year, my vehicle rate went UP $8. Not huge from a 2014 Camry L. Guessing the cost for a total loss is much higher for the Lariat hybrid, which will pick up Monday.

Asked for a quote to be prepared when it hopefully shows up next year. Got quoted $104/month for full coverage, zero deductible, one free windshield per year. Up about $17/month from my 2011 Ram.
