My digital information goes black from time to time upon starting the truck. Any word of a recall to fix that?

Thanks, but they won't look at it unless the screen is dark, and that is not all the time.Yeah, take it back to the dealer as it might be just yours acting up.
There was the recall for the instrument cluster not illuminating, but assuming OP had that performed and/or it's resuming operation without any intervention (such as pulling the IC fuses) then it sounds like a novel failure such as a bad connection/trace.This sounds like it would be a standard warranty claim that you would make an appointment for. I don't recall seeing too many reports of others with this same issue so I doubt there would be a recall related to it. Unless you are talking about the backup camera freezing, which there is a recall for.
Sounds like a bad connection or broken wire. Thanks, but they won't look at it unless the screen is dark, and that is not all the time.
Yes post a complaint on NHTSA. Hurry though before jobs are cut or it is closed.Post a complaint to the NHTSA site. When enough people have the same issue it will get addressed. The alternative is to not post and deal with it.
If so, the OP definitely shouldn't have used the term "instrument panel" in the subject of this thread.Just to be clear it is the infotainment screen we’re talking about.
I agree, it’s confusing when he says instrument panel and then digital information. If so, the OP definitely shouldn't have used the term "instrument panel" in the subject of this thread.
