Increase the range of the back-up reverse sensor?

Is their any way to increase the range of the back-up sensors .
I,m practically within inches on an object behind me ,weather it be a trash can, garage door ,or another vehicle .
Besides that , it is not very loud .
Older fords ( 2009 Escape ) area lot louder and pick up an object at a greater distance.

Not to my knowledge. Seems ford has the green yellow red lines set. I might be possible for dealer to adjust be sorta doubt it. Maybe I'm wrong, have no idea. Maybe others can chime in with info. Good Luck

I think Ford has probably refined the preset settings over the years based on experience and feedback. I would hope the Maverick is updated from earlier versions like on the earlier Escapes.

I have the same issue. I have actually backed into a vehicle before the sensor went off. Fortunately I was going very slow and the contact was bumper to bumper. Even the distance of the cross traffic sensor is very low before it goes off. The sensors on my Explorer are much better.

Mine at some point maybe a recall for the backup camera???? Seems to not indicating any more?? Maybe they changed or turned it off??
OK my bad the lariat with copilot 360 with the additional parking assist has the proximity sensors. The XLT with Luxury pkg does not have the 360 option nor the proximity. So I was not in the lariat but in the XLT.

I don't get sensor, or beeps - except what I provide.
And I'm doing a terrible job at it - for sure been turned off.

Just backed into another vehicle in a tight parking lot. Sensors didn’t give a warning until I’d already bumped the other vehicle. Really bummed out as I was looking in side mirror but can’t see the rear bumper to see how close you are
