I have the same issue. I have actually backed into a vehicle before the sensor went off. Fortunately I was going very slow and the contact was bumper to bumper. Even the distance of the cross traffic sensor is very low before it goes off. The sensors on my Explorer are much better.

I have a 23 Lariat hybrid and this battery dropped in with no issues or modifications. So far, no battery issues even after the truck is not started or runs for days. I was able to get this battery a couple of months ago for $111 on sale from Amazon
