Illinois Maverick meet?

Wondering if there might be enough interested Maverick owners to hold a Maverick meet up in Illinois? Maybe in the spring when car shows start up again? What kind of event would it be? I’d go!

I'm in north Iowa, so I would be interested in that if it's near the quad cities. I'm thinking it will have to be next spring, but I don't know what kind of event it will be, since I've never been in a car club.

I‘ve never done a gathering like that, and I really don’t know what goes on, but I’ve seen notices of other Mav gatherings here on the MTC forum. Can anyone shed light on what the gatherings have been like? Are there vendors, maybe selling accessories? Maybe some food trucks? Probably a lot of spaces for visiting trucks. Anyone wanting to think about organizing an event like this?

I'd think by next Spring there will be a better contingent of Maverick owners in northern Illinois (and NW Indiana, etc). I'd be interested in attending whether I have my 2023 rollover or not. Even if I don't have mine yet I can to see the different colors, trim levels, accessories added, etc.

Hopefully the meetup would be centrally located with somewhat easy access to interstates so folks can come from further if they choose to attend.

Regarding Weird Harolds questions: I been involved with many car/motorcycle meets, mostly as an attendee but helped behind the scenes at a few others. I suggest in the beginning we just do a simple meetup at a friendly restaurant (with good grub, etc) that will provide space for parking, group seating for attendees, etc. Once you add vendors, etc it gets much more complicated.

I'd suggest seeing how many "Maverick-ites" actually show up at at a low-key gathering first just looking for the comraderie. The biggest question is when? March can be semi-warm or still snowy winter. April normally warms up somewhat but there's that old saying "April's showers brings May's flowers". Won't know for a few more months (mighty long months is your still waiting for your Maverick to arrive).
