I have a 26 EB Lariat.. the bcm was giving me fits, I wanted an ignition switched power source to turn a relay on so I wouldn't have to remember to shut my Ham Radio off... (running battery to relay, then to radio) the only switched source I was positive on was 6, (moonroof) but the tap in there didn't fit. #3 in the 26 is also ignition switched.

Used #3 in my ‘22 and my ‘25; not issues at all. For same reason, tap doesn’t fit in #6.

If you are good with Pins, you can add a pin on the output side of the fused circuit you want to use. I did it when I added Adaptive cruise control (power feed for the radar) red wire in the photo is what i added.

Sounds like you have it covered, but FYI the only distinction between fuses 3 and 6 is subtle: fuse 6 will stay powered until a door is opened (similar to the radio), but fuse 3 will not be powered after the ignition is stopped (similar to the HVAC fan).

There are taps that will fit fuse 6, but they are less readily available.
