Well i told you I didn’t understand.it just seems to me if they can’t supply the standard motor for say 2 months seems to me they should have to put another motor in at no charge as the standard motor.
Hell yeah....I'll take a 5.0 Coyote for my standard free replacement engine.

Heard the Santa Cruz comes with a free engine, maybe you should check them out….. if you’re a good negotiator you could probably get them to throw in some free air for the tires.

They are supplying it but it is delayed, nothing really that big of a deal
You're probably missing the point that as of 11/15, hybrid cannot be ordered for MY 2022

Interestingly enough, it is sort of what Ford has done for those who ordered the 4K tow w/o AWD. That is, they recognized that they had a problem in terms of delivering those and as a peace offering gave those customers who had ordered the configuration a private offer that essentially gave them AWD for free.

Note: Yes, I know it isn't the same thing in that the 4K w/FWD was likely a safety issue.

I wonder how many would have switched had this been done, i.e. change the order to AWD in place of Hybrid if offered a PCO for the difference? I now believe it doesn't matter as I'm guessing they are just about ready to get those Hybrid orders rolling.

Cause they be wanting to make money, it ain't welfare. The ecoboost cost more, lots more complicated parts.

WTF?

You haven't heard of "sold out. We don't have any more. Come back next week, maybe we'll have some?"

FoMoCo is under no obligation to deliver you any vehicle just because you want one.

It's NOT the same thing. Ford honored existing orders by comping the newly required feature. They made no such concessions for orders that had not yet been placed.

I think you should try this angle on another dealer/manufacturer and get back to us with the response.

Reading is fundamental. Note I said "Yes, I know it isn't the same thing" and note I never stated anything about new orders, I stated "had ordered"...had being the operative participle (as in PAST tense).

Why? Why should they do that? They have no obligation to do anything. Do you realize the holdup was the EPA not Ford?

Right back at you. You wrote that it's not the same because one was a safety issue. I wrote that they are different for an entirely different reason.
In the AWD/4K case they were addressing a commitment they could no longer deliver. In the hybrid case, they are supporting their commitments but declining to make any more until MY23.
