I saw this comment on a different treat:
According this information, there are only 6.300 Hybrid XL available for 2023, based on a 12 month run and production of 10.000 Mavericks per month:

Ford Maverick I wonder how many 23 hybrids will actually get built 1665754825385

Obviously, this numbers can change over time, if the applicable constrains/capacities changes.

(I ordered an XL, Atlas Blue, with hitch, on 09.19, to see if I will be of the lucky winners.)

I wonder how many hybrids will get built in 2023.

Production for 2022 was about 10K a month, if I remember correctly.

Ford said they plan to make 30-35% hybrids.

Ford also said that they received 89,000 orders in the few days the banks were open.

Several dealers that post such things have said that interest in the hybrid was between 70-80% of their orders.

If Ford builds 10k a month that's 120k for the year.

If Ford makes 35% of those as hybrids that about 42k for the year.

If, out of the 89k orders even 60% were hybrids that would be about 53k hybrids on order.

That would mean thousands of hybrid orders not getting built and by the end of the year running out of customer ecoboost orders and making ecoboost dealer stock with the remaining production capacity.

I guess there is no way to know until this time next year, and I really hope I missed something in the news I have read that makes this whole post silly.

I hope everyone gets their truck.

Good luck all, and may the odd be ever in your favor.
I wonder how many 2022 orders , for both gas and hybrid, were not built, and were pushed into 2023s.

That person states that Ford made 60K 2022 mavericks. The number is at least 115,100 based on the "highest VIN" tracking thread. So they are off by almost half already. Their math for how the small percentages break down is also assuming a lot. Even if Ford sticks to only producing 15% XL trim, there is no indication how that 15% would be split between Hybrid and EcoBoost. While it would be crazy for them all to be Hybrid, the reported constraints and splits do not specify to that level.

Those of us hoping to get a hybrid are obviously at the short end of a supply and demand equation. That is never good. ☹

We will likely never know for sure, but I'm guessing thousands. Even doing a poll here or elsewhere would give sketchy data. I'm guessing there are more folks here waiting than are current owners, simply because once we get our trucks following the day to day developments in Maverick world likely slips down a few pegs on peoples priority list.

And don't forget that when they previewed the Maverick truck last year there was no mention of the Ecoboost engine it was the 1st ever full hybrid small pickup truck, So why promote what you can't produce 😡
