I ordered my Ecoboost yesterday and they said 10-12 months...gotta toughen up! Of course I dont need it now but still. This is the first vehicle ive ever ordered too lol.
I would just wait for a 2023 model. It may wind up being that anyway. What a mess.

With no certainty about when things may get smoothed out, and me getting stuck in shit weather twice already this year with my little Nissan and me needing basic truck capabilities for several home projects in the next 4-5 months.... There are well equipped Santa Cruz's at several dealers around me for MSRP. I'm going to test drive one here after work, and if I like it will be getting one this weekend.

I tried to hold out for the Maverick, I even stuck up for the production delays due to the chip shortage... I think the last straw for me may have been that I saw someone who ordered yesterday get scheduled, on top of that a guy who has had 3 trucks ordered with build dates while people langusih with not even a peep.... it's enough to make you go crazy... while there are people ( not even me) who have been waiting since June/July.

Who knows, maybe I won't like the Santa Cruz... and I'll stick it out. Its getting harder to justify... it's only been 2.5 months for me... you long haulers have patience!
I would also check out the new frontier, much more capable truck than the SC for about the same money, albeit more of a truck than a car based truck like the Maverick or SC. If you are doing projects that include lumber or larger materials, the longer bed on the frontier would be very useful.

There will be 100k people lined up to order whenever it opens back up for 23, prob even bigger mess and a likely price increase. I dont really need the truck now so the wait is fine, even if it winds up being a 23 is ok.

Ordered in November 20th-ish?, scheduled for 1/31 build, bumped up to 1/24 - website shows in production. As of today I finally see modules on that module build data page and I got a estimated delivery date of 3/3. No idea how accurate all this is - haven't heard a word from my dealership - just following along the with the trackers.

Hopefully yours will get picked up soon - but can't say I blame you for wanting to jump ship. 5+ months is a long time to wait for a truck. My current daily driver is about to fall apart and shop wants 4k to fix it but it ain't worth that much. Just need to make it to beginning of March.

Someone placed and ordered yesterday and is already scheduled?
Obvious troll post intended to rile up guys like OP.
No one will blame you or stop you from getting a Santa Cruz, Tacoma, Frontier, etc. Just know you stand to gain nothing from backing out of your Mav order at this point. Might as well delay the decision until it's ready for you to take delivery.

Several have claimed “ordered on the 5th”, delivery on the 20th or so….Most if not all of these were people picking up orders that others abandoned….

I picked up a Hybrid in Penn. Monday (ordered July 30th) and drove thru Charlottesville (Ivy) and was blown away at the features and performance of the Maverick Hybrid…788 miles home and got 49.5 MPG.

I have an XLT AWD 4K FX4 Lux Package Area 51. It will be well worth the wait if you can hold out. This Maverick is better than most people think it is.
Exact truck I ordered.:)

I have a 2017 Frontier and the Maverick is a tin can next to it.

Someone placed and ordered yesterday and is already scheduled? Is that true or did they miscommunicate that their order was confirmed vs scheduled for the build?
Yes a lot of ecoboost ordered yesterday got scheduled for March builds today.

Saw my first SC on the interstate today...very aggressive looking and impressive. The pricing structure on the SC kept me on track for the Maverick.
Not to mention the MPG on the SC not that good + the price is a bit steep
