True Maverick story:
My 16 year old brother was learning to drive in my sister's green Maverick with me, our mother, and my sister in the car. We are driving on county roads when we come upon our father with his girlfriend in his car. My brother gave chase but couldn't keep up. Needless to say our mother was devastated and I never saw my father again...

I had a friend whose wife's father had a Ford dealership in Carbondale Illinois. He came to Ga in a brand-new Maverick in 1975. Cost: $1995. Actually lasted him quite a while!!!
