Like others have said, the net gain (or even decrease) in efficiency is negligible.
I'd still highly recommend one though, back before I even got the truck I knew I was going to get a tonneau cover for it and took advantage of a Black Friday deal to get a bakflip for a large discount.
When I...
30, myself. I drive my 86 m/t for fun, but I wanted something awd for when we get snow (though we have had an extremely mild winter this year). Had a moment last year driving in the snow in my 86 that scared the hell outta me and decided that I needed to stop humming and hawing at getting an...
Yeah I'm really not sure what the confusion is here, it's written clear as day.
OP, just be a little more patient. My truck got built Thursday and just shipped today. They have to get everything put in place before they toss it on a rail car and ship it to your dealer.
Absolutely, the conductor is in no way at fault in this case.
But for real, that's my worst fear for this. I haven't been waiting anywhere near as long as some of the other users here. I got my email notifying me of shipment about 26 minutes ago, then saw this post 5 minutes after that. So I'm...
My Maverick just shipped today, all of these train derailments in the news have made me very worried. This post is only exacerbating those fears. I'm so worried something is gonna happen. These train companies are slipping up so bad now.
The problem with LOCs is that they're not always the cleanest conversion, a cheap quality LOC will introduce distortion when it converts down to a low signal.
And for cars that have factory amplified systems, cheaper LOCs can't handle the power from a factory system and will cook. I've seen it...
The high level inputs are for when installing an amp into a factory system, like how OP is getting ready to do, since factory radios don't have RCA outputs (except in very rare circumstances, like some of Scion's radios).
And it depends on the LOC, the cheap ones will definitely be that cheap...
Well, I'm hoping there will be enough room to squeeze the radio and the Maestro module where the AC controls are, then run the umbilical up to the screen. I won't know for sure what the space situation will be like for our trucks, I haven't received mine yet (only just got built yesterday)
But...
As long as you don't have the B&O system, there is a chance. The problem with modern Fords is that there's so many data systems that tie into the radio, so you need a proper data interface. Maestro is who I'm really hoping comes through and creates a solution. You would need to get a...
I've installed many amps at my old job, specifically AudioControl and yes, the LC4.800 definitely doesn't an LOC; it'd be a waste of money and a potential hit to sound quality.
Personally though I'm waiting to see if an aftermarket radio solution becomes available for our trucks before I...
I wouldn't use any type of wood for your speaker brackets. Moisture is going to get into the interior of the door panel, and that will cause the speaker bracket to fail over time. Metra makes a speaker bracket adapter (82-5605) that is supposed to fit the Maverick. I haven't had a Maverick yet...
Yeahhhhh my tracker is wonky as well. Mine hasn't been built yet, but the last time I checked it, the tracker said I ordered a 2023 XL (I ordered an XLT) and under the options it said I was getting the 300A and 500A group (XLT and Lariat) on the same vehicle.
That's gonna be a hell of a build...
I think it's this thread here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/us-sales-regions-discovery.15819/
I couldn't anything that explicitly said what regions were getting scheduled. It's possible they're referring to that. It was the closest I could find.
Wait where do we go to find out which regions are getting scheduled? I didn't see anything posted, or at least I don't remember seeing anything posted.
Edit: ignore me, I am big dumb. Found the thread.
Well shit. I hope this doesn't push my order back too much. I wasn't expecting my odds to be good before this announcement. But now that we have a bunch of hybrid orders potentially changing over to EB, I'd imagine my chances are gonna plummet more.
Not expecting anything on my end. It'd be a Christmas miracle if I get scheduled during this month. Though a magic 8 ball I saw in Target said I'd get scheduled this week; a man can dream!
Best of luck to everyone, may the odds be ever in your favor.
With the route I'm going to be taking, it'll definitely be more than $500. Unfortunately with Ford they make it pretty costly to go aftermarket. The harness for the Maestro and the MaestroRR themselves will cost around ≤$280, and the radio I'm thinking of getting is $650 MSRP.
It'll be...
I haven't received my Maverick yet, but the second I'm able to tear that screen out, I'm going to. I'm waiting on Metra to make an aftermarket dash kit for the vehicle, then the plan is to put a modular radio like the Pioneer DMH-C5500 NEX in and experiment with the MaestroRR and see if I can...
