Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Our 22 XLT Hybrid had the “Check Engine” light illuminated going down the interstate. I noticed a slight difference in acceleration earlier but it was running fine. At home I called the dealer and was given a date to come in. Parked it and when I started it to go to the dealer, no check light. Short story - longer, dealer check it out and came back. U0415 code stored in the PSCM. “Invalid data received from anti-lock braking system (ABS) control module”. Updated PSCM. Transmission problem and parts ordered. I was called by the dealer, parts in they need it for a week. 48,xxx miles, only problems were multiple recalls. Still has the original 12v battery. Transmission repair is covered under drivetrain warranty.

Before that happened, did you get rocking or lunging at a full stop while the engine was cold in high idle?

No. No indication of any problem. The sluggish acceleration may have been brake drag from the ABS engaging.

Please report back on what parts the dealer replaced, because that is what we really want to know so we can look out for symptoms ourselves :D Maybe, the sluggish acceleration could have been due to the hybrid battery(traction battery) being depleted and the acceleration being purely from the engine with no electric assist? I know I get that occasionally, and it is definitely due to no electric assist in my case. I have 70K on my '23 with the original battery, fwiw.

How is everything holding up at this stage with your mileage. I'm just curious because I'm not too convinced about longevity because of quality issues. ICE seems solid.

I was asking about tranny and overall not engine fire. Thanks for the link.

Everything is pretty much fine for me. I've only had software updates at this point. I did/do have the occasional weird jerk when slowing from highway speeds to a stop, but not enough to really bother me, and I couldn't duplicate for the dealer when I tried. Other than that, I have the original battery(with aftermarket stereo,5 channel amp, DSP, 10" sub), original CV axles, brakes, and even windshield. I think the hybrids do best when driven, and I definitely do that(45-50K a year). The only thing I've really done is change the oil and put new tires on at 45K. I think my lifetime average is around 39-40mpg, and I don't drive like granny.

Sounds good. Like my previous post stated. I've had a lunging issue at a stop, during high idle. Dealer said they felt something minor but not concerned. Don't worry I have a warranty.

I'm not at all clear from your post that there was a transmission problem at all. When you finally get closure, please share more details of this and its underlying cause. I would think the HF-45 should be pretty trouble-free, considering how simple it is.

If possible I would sure like to know what was done to e-cvt transmission. Ask dealer for detailed explanation. Ask if trans was removed to do repair?

I have something similar. when cold, shift into D or R, and it doesnt move. Press gas and at like 1/4 it finally moves, lunging.

I'm not overly concerned but I hope its not an precursor to some future issue.

I'd bring it in so there is a record. I've never had or felt the need for an extended warranty but I got one for this vehicle. Glad I did now having seen all the recalls and especially quality issues.

Happy to report. 70K on the original 12 volt? Wow.

Love our little truck. Other than time and money spent to and from dealer for recalls, great little tool. My Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 has about 3,000 miles since we bought the Mav. Anything I need that won’t fit in the bed, I have a 14 foot utility trailer.

Thank you for your reply. The dealership said the transmission required repair. The dealership ordered and received the parts for the repair. I was given a “bring in” date by the dealership. I will comply and hopefully get a better explanation for the failure and repair of the transmission from the dealership.
I will be happy to share any information I receive from the dealership.
