I've had my '23 Hybrid for two months tomorrow, and it's been awesome, average just about 50 mpg on the nose, including a 170+ mile weekend getaway two weeks ago for our anniversary, with maybe 100-110 of that being pure highway mileage. It has sat for 2-3 days on a couple of instances, without any deep-sleep message, at least so far, and I do have the Ford app installed, as well as the Ford+Alexa app for streaming music via voice control.

Mine seems exceptionally quite, compared to other vehicles I've owned. Not sure if that's purely due to being a Hybrid, being a Lariat (Sound Windshield), or a combination thereof. My wife also comments on how quiet is seems, and likes the 'UFO' sort of sound at lower speeds. - FWIW, heard a Hyundai hybrid drive past our house this morning, and it's artificial sound is seems louder to me than the Maverick's. (Of course I don't know how mine sounds from across the street, only from behind the wheel).

If your '23 order is a Lariat with Lux, go for it! - For '23, that also gets you built in Navigation, with SeriusXM Traffice for 5 years, all voice controlled, no Android/Apple cable required, and the B&O Audio sounds very good.

We got our XLT Hybrid in Oct '22 and presently have 22K+ miles on it with a good 80% of the miles being highway. We have been really happy with it. No issues. Our average MPG so far has been 38.7. I gage my MPG by way of tank loads vs miles. living in the Northwest means snow and mountain driving. Went to Colorado Springs this past month with steep climbs going from sea level at home to as high as the continental divide (7,000+ ft) with no issues. Highly recommend the Hybrid if not needing to haul a trailer. We don't have one.

I have to make a decision in the next few weeks. I presently have a 22 Maverick Eco AWD that I bought from a dealer and I’m at around 5k miles. My production date is early July for a 23 Hybrid and I’m not sure if I will sell the 22 and buy the hybrid. With all the negative posts about the issues with the Hybrid I’m not sure I’m going to make the right decision. Can any hybrid owners let me know what their experience are…
I have owned my 2022 Mavrick Hybrid now for 6 months and have about 10000 miles on it. I have had absolutely no problems with it. I am averageing over all about 44 miles to the gallon and have gotten as much as 54 miles to the gallon on some short trips. It drops to about 38/39 on the interstae at 80miles an hour. I also own a 2021 Ford F-150 Hybrid which I have over 25,000 miles on it and have had absolutely no problems with it either. They are both great trucks and I wouldn't go without the hybrid after owning them.

I’m enjoying my Hybrid. No worries about FWD in the snow for me. If you get stuck with a 24MY I’d probably not pay the extra $1500 for the hybrid just as a FU to ford (or do they want that?)

Going from a ecoboost to the hybrid has to be a shock, that is a hp drop of nearly 25%...that alone would nix the hybrid for me.

I live in Washington state, project manager for home builds. 1st month ownership of hybrid. 2000 miles. I put gas in 4 times. 186$ for that mileage. Yes I am playing the blue bar game. But it's easy to do.

I knew it was a gamble going in .. first gen Maverick Hybrid and all.
I expected to be part of the recent recall - but I was not.

I have not experienced any issues on my '23 Mav Hybrid ... but only 3 months / 6000 miles.

I initially wanted an Ecoboost + 4k Tow package.
Only reason I went the Hybrid route was purpose/intent of use:

Replace daily driver: Nissan Versa Note (40mpg gas sipper).
Been driving that under-powered, gutless wonder, non-awd, non-hitch-having, end-of-life marshmallow car since 2014.

Concerned about the issues i have heard about? Sure!
Paranoid? Nope.

Well, that’s your opinion man.. the Dude abides. Lightin up..’
I like your style ;)

Agreed. I actually thought the CVT and 2.5L in the Escape was a great pair and when you wanted power, it was there. In the EB, there is turbo lag and shifting. No complaints about power in either though, but I can't say I buy vehicles like this to race lol.
