Does anyone know how much more the hybrid battery weights when its charged vs empty? Electricity has to weight something right?

While Im asking, does a tire with 32lbs of pressure weigh four pounds less than an identical one with 36 psi?

Battery no change, tire just a tiny amount. It’s considered negligible.

The weight of the electrons in the battery pack while in different states of charge is negligible at best. The charged, vs discharged electrons shift to different parts of the battery pack, so other than a weight shift from one part to another, the weight of the battery itself won't change noticeably. I suggest watching some educational videos on how lithium ion batteries work (from a chemistry stand point), to get a better idea of what is happening. There are a number of good videos from university profs on the subject.

Is this an April Fools joke?

I'm asking because, it is December.

Electrons are incredibly heavy. That's why BEV makers limit charging. If you get too many electrons into a battery pack, the battery will violently break the mounts to the frame, drop off the vehicle, and then unstoppably sink into the Earth until it reaches the core. This is called the "Beijing Syndrome", and it's been covered up by a vast government conspiracy. It's also why BEVs catch on fire sometimes - that's the battery management system burning up the electrons before they can initiate the Beijing Syndrome sequence of events.

Some theorize that heavy BEV batteries will lead to the end of civilization, as masses of them penetrate the Earth's crust and lead to a global super-volcano and a consequent global winter. So we have to stop buying BEVs now. Please do not buy a BEV - you will contribute to the end of human civilization if you do.

Hybrid owners - you are guilty of crimes against humanity. You are driving the equivalent of dangerous nuclear reactors. Please have your hybrid crushed and get an ecoboost today.

There, that's about as accurate as most of the BEV misinformation I see on this forum. I've done my part to confuse and frighten everyone who slept through science (or recent graduates "educated" by teachers who replace atomic theory with gender pronouns).

Yes, air does have weight, but an 80 cf aluminum scuba tank weighs about 5 or 6 lbs less empty than a full tank, filled with 80 cf of air at 3000 psi. So I doubt your tire would have a noticeable weight difference between 32 and 36 psi.

I want to now how many electrons die each time I hit "Post reply". At the very least, they are torn from their surroundings and sent first thru the air from my laptop to the router/modem and then shoved along a wire to who knows where? Will they ever return from their birthplace in the wind turbine on the farm outside of town? Will they ever rejoin their mates? Will they end up crushed in a black hole?
Will Lassie ever get Timmy out of that damn well? 🐕 👦 🌊
