Amazing second photo! And this is the husky brand deflector?
No . it's a bugflector . bought about 3 years ago . I had to modify both center mounting holes . Second picture was taken on Blue Ridge Parkway a couple of falls ago .

So does the rubber seal just not get secured to the hood in the four spots used to attach the deflector, or am I missing something?

I got mine last week. Perfect fit. I like that it does not touch your paint.

On the four install points of the deflector; those spots of the rubber seal no longer attach to the hood at all, since they are replaced for the mounting screws, is that correct?

I'm not sure what rubber seals you are referring to but nothing attaches to the outside of the hood (except for the little stick on bumpers.) Everything connects on the inside of the hood onto predrilled holes with the supplied mounting screws. I'm not sure if these photos help but the mounting screws are under the weather stripping.

Did you have to remove the light blue factory clips from the holes that the supplied mounting screws will occupy? In those places, is the hood seal itself no longer attached the way it was using the original light blue clips?

The rubber seal I’m referring to is just the hood seal itself.
I just installed mine quickly in a parking lot, and from the best I can assume, the hood seal just isn’t held completely in place where the original mounting clips had to be replaced by the supplied mounting screws.

Correct. You remove the blue clips and in those holes go the mounting screws. You no longer use those clips but additional ones hold the hood seal in place

Additional ones as in the remaining/existing blue clips?
