When going out hunting, where/how do you secure your Hunting Rifles in your Maverick?
Have not been able to view the storage areas, and wanted a better understanding of storage capabilities?

1. Is there space under the back seat to fit a riffle in a soft travel case?
2. If not, any ingenious ideas to improve this storage area?
3. Did you install a Hard-locking bed cover, in place of a soft cover, for improved security?

I transport my hunting rifles in hard cases and gear, tree stands, etc. in the bed. Have hard tri-fold bed cover that can't be opened unless the tail gate in Unlocked and Opened. I keep tow straps, tow hitch accessories and miscellaneous stuff in the storage bins under the seat. You might be able to get a rifle in a soft case under the seat but I haven't bothered to try. Grandkids in the cab. Hope that helps ya.

Just lay your rifle on the back seat in its case.

You could probably get a single rifle behind the rear seat in a soft case, assuming it doesn't have a 26" barrel I throw my cases in the back seat, but I never have anyone riding back there. I wouldn't trust putting a rifle under the rear seat, because I feel like the seat might be resting on it. I mean, if you always check your zero after transport, then you could try it. I've also seen some folks install old school rifle racks in the back glass too.

Thanks for the feedback, I see in pictures how it "might" be possible to squeeze in a soft case under the seat, but it does look tight? I am thinking it might be best for me to get a good Hard Tri-Fold, as noted by olefordguy. This will give me an "out of site" locked location, in case I need to go away from the truck for a short time, while "Hunter things" are still in the truck. Hope to find a reasonably priced hard Tri-fold, under $600.

I just put rifles in soft case on the floor in the back. Don't think they'd work well under the seat because of the divided tubs. If you modified (cut) the plastic down there or removed it altogether you could probably customize a space suitable for multiple rifles completely out of sight.
