On my way to driver license office, cold 27 deg morning, driving 40 mph on smooth blacktop, could sorta hear and feel a hum/rumble. Huh, what is this? Let up gas, it disappeared. Step on gas, kinda feel, hear it. I wear a hearing aid, so any sound questionable. But feel it. I do hard acceleration it seems to quieten a bit, until reach a steady speed, around 40 mph.
Cabin cold, so had heater blower at maybe 50% speed. Thinking maybe the blower humming, shaking a bit? Adjusting blower speed didn’t seem make any difference. Adjust duct from both top vent and floor, to just top vent made no difference .
At a stop light, on go, trying to ascertain if tranny cold, playing its shift points. Seems when training shifts from low to 2nd, 3rd + as truck speeds, the hum, vibes crop up.
So, parked, sitting a bit, thinking a heat soak might make difference warming thing up. Driving home, ambient now 31 deg, still make, feel that hum/vibe feel.
No CEL or warning crops up. At home, pop hood to check, engine idling , nothing unusual then.
Could it be tires? It’s warming up over next few days, intend to drive over same blacktop, see what happens.
My question to others out there, ever experienced similar situation?
And truck just turned 5,001 miles.
