Guys, google “GPF Maverick” to see what they look like. You can bend down and spot one easy without depending on stickers or labels or whatever. But don’t kick the tires - that is a rookie mistake.

So show us a pic of one, or provide a link - I've found zilch.Guys, google “GPF Maverick” to see what they look like. You can bend down and spot one easy without depending on stickers or labels or whatever. But don’t kick the tires - that is a rookie mistake.
How about you show a pic of one. I already know what they look like so I don’t need a pic.So show us a pic of one, or provide a link - I've found zilch.
So you don't have one.....How about you show a pic of one. I already know what they look like so I don’t need a pic.
I did post a thread with a picture a couple months back on this forum. Search for that too?
Oh I have one - and it’s spectacular.So you don't have one.....
So be a helpful Mav owner, show us your google 'GPF Maverick' link for a pic - you said it could be done, I'm curious.Oh I have one - and it’s spectacular.
You may also want to start researching how to tell if you have a spare tire on a 2026 Maverick. Where will that option be located? Sticker? Decal? It’s so confusing![]()
I was wrong - it can’t be done darn.So be a helpful Mav owner, show us your google 'GPF Maverick' link for a pic - you said it could be done, I'm curious.
Thanks.I was wrong - it can’t be done darn.
Note all the tubing/sensors on the GPF. Not to confused with the smooth exterior of your catalytic converter:![]()
You’re welcome. BTW, Probity, Hybrids will not be equipped with GPF’s. Maybe that is why you could not find a picture…Thanks.
Maybe a shot in the dark, no idea, but maybe look at ford dealers maverick inventory in a CARB state and see what the online window sticker shows and compare that to dealers inventory in a NON CARB stateAny pointers on how to tell from the window sticker if a Mav has a GPF (assuming it was produced in "Job 3").
Thank you!
GPF’s should be showing up soon in the CARB states. I think Ford starting equipping them for CARB states in late July.Maybe a shot in the dark, no idea, but maybe look at ford dealers maverick inventory in a CARB state and see what the online window sticker shows and compare that to dealers inventory in a NON CARB state
Current CARB states:
California
Colorado
Connecticut
Delaware
District of Columbia
Maine
Maryland
Massachusetts
Minnesota
Nevada
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Oregon
Rhode Island
Vermont
Virginia
Washington
Note, I have no idea if what I'm posting here is correct, I'm just throwing it out there as food for thought..... It's all confusing to this old guy, there's certainly a lot of confusion on this subject and I'm glad I'm not in the market for a new vehicle and not in a CARB state, who knows how it will be when the dust settles. Anyways, I was curious about the "hybrid not being GPF equipped", I thought, well that's strange, a hybrid still has a gasoline engine, so why would it be different than a regular ice gas engine, so I googled the question and the google AI came back with:You’re welcome. To make matters even more confusing - just as Ford began limiting production (due to GPF shortage) to CARB states only in late July, the EPA made changes to CARB requirements & CAFE regulations.Note, I have no idea if what I'm posting here is correct, I'm just throwing it out there as food for thought..... "Yes, hybrid vehicles in "CARB states" (states that have adopted California's Advanced Clean Cars regulations) will likely be required to have gas particulate filters (GPFs) or equivalent technology to meet upcoming particulate matter standards, starting with model year 2026 and later, under the new California Air Resources Board (CARB) II regulations that were finalized in 2023. This requirement is part of a broader effort to reduce criteria pollutants and improve air quality, as the CARB has indicated that action is needed to ensure robust control of particulate matter from vehicles."
I also found this site with info:
https://ww2.arb.ca.gov/sites/default/files/barcu/regact/2022/accii/acciifro_exh_tp_2026+.pdf
Stating:
S. Test Procedures for 2026 and Subsequent Model Hybrid-Electric Vehicles,
Except Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles. This section, Part II, section I, contains the test procedures for 2026 and subsequentmodel hybrid-electric vehicles, except plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Plug-inhybrid-electric vehicles must be tested in accordance with the “California TestProcedures for 2026 and Subsequent Model Year Zero-Emission Vehicles andPlug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles, in the Passenger Car, Light-Duty Truck, andMedium-Duty Vehicle Classes.” A manufacturer of a hybrid vehicle equipped with anenergy storage device that is not included in these procedures may requestExecutive Officer approval to employ an alternative to the SOC Criterion in Part II,section I.5. Executive Officer approval of an SOC Criterion alternative shall beconditioned upon the manufacturer providing supporting data and/or engineeringevaluation demonstrating the equivalence of the proposed alternative procedure tothe SOC Criterion.Confirmatory testing and in-use compliance testing for Part II, section I may beperformed in any driver-selectable mode to ensure compliance with emissionstandards
Does your sticker say 50 state emissions?Confirmed no GPF on my job 3 build. Non-CARB state so that's not surprising.
