Probably good advice. But it is confusing.I was told that it would have the 50 State Emissions option on the window sticker. GPF was added to the Ecoboost vehicles with that label starting with anything built after 6/23/25.
My understanding – you can have a ’25 CARB-state compliant 50 State Emission Mav with 2.0L EB that doesn’t have a GPF. Chops presented his example. Other ‘25s offered for sale may have the GPF. Does having that 50 State Emissions line on your window sticker absolutely mean it has a GPF? I’m not sure.
Without crawling under it, I’d pop the hood and see if it has a VECI sticker like this with the magic words TWC+GPF (and the Y5 Test Group) in the description:
What I found from my EPA/CARB digging:

To waste more of my time, I rechecked all ’25 2.0L Mav’s listed in Galpin Fords SoCal inventory. They all have window stickers noting 50 State Emissions. They have window sticker invoice dates (not build dates – don’t know actual build dates ‘cause no pictures of the doorjamb sticker with that) that are generally in May, June, July of 2025. Even found one (a 2025 MY) with a Dec. 2024 invoice date – it too notes 50 State Emissions.
Then rechecked Mac Haik Ford in Houston (TX a non-CARB state). Found June, Aug. 2025 invoice date stickers w/no mention of 50 State Emissions. Found Feb., April, 2025 and even Dec. 2024 invoice date stickers that do mention 50 State Emissions. So who knows.
