I saw a post on Facebook where a guy damaged his cluster plastic with a cleaner that was too strong so figured I’d make a video about how to safely clean your screen because you don’t want to mess that up. I’ve been using this product since I bought the truck.

You have to careful with soap, it’s not recommended for cleaning screens as some soap may cause damage. Some people make their own screen cleaning solution with distilled water and isopropyl alcohol, just have to be careful on the mix amounts.

Last vehicle I had was recommended to only use a dry microfiber towel to clean the screen. Worked well, so doing the same with the Maverick. So far so good.

The 1st add on I purchased was a screen protector just like the ones on your phone. Had purchased a used F150 and the screen have embeded finger marks on the screen so figured this would be a good one and a microfiber and a little water and the screen is clean

If soap and water can be used to clean eye glasses I’m sure it wouldn’t hurt the screen that is being touch by my dirty finger everyday . I use a mixture of dawn and water. In a small amount. So far so good. 2 years and counting.

I mean, there are lots of things out there people do use to clean screens, some right and some wrong, that’s why I made the video because I found something specifically designed to be safe and clean effectively, and I like the design because it’s portable and I can keep it in the center compartment and I never have to worry about making a mix. If people have other methods that’s cool, do what works for you, I was just trying to provide an option I know is safe and effective.

I installed this as soon as I bought my Maverick. I have one on each cars screen I own, easy to clean.

Also folks, don't use soap & water... Use distilled water & a microfiber cloth. From everything to a cars touchscreen to your latestest flat screen 4K tv.
I as well. Bought a 2010 F150 Platinum and it was beautiful except for the screen that had embedded fingerprints on it so as soon as I purchased my little beast the screen protector was the 1st add on I bought and installed. Then you can clean it with water and microfiber

There are other screen cleaners but as stated in the video I prefer ScreenDr because it keeps the cloth together with the bottle and I can keep it in the cubby.

This was not directed at you and I didn't watch the video. It just seems like a simple subject with remedies that have been around as long as I can remember.
