How to prevent plastic oxidation?

I used Stoners Trim Shine on My Maverick's lower plastic on Sunday not sure how it will hold up but looks nice right now!! Sorry the dates off by one day!!

Cerakote. I used it on my 2002 Trailblazer and the trim looks almost like new. Of course, I used it on the Maverick, and it made the trim a bit glossier. It lasts a long time, also.

One thing I found after using the product was that the pads evaporate very quickly, even faster in warmer weather. What I did was cut the pad in half, then put one half in the pouch and seal it with a binder clip/paper clip. Use the first half until it dries out, then switch to the second half that is in the pouch. Gloves are necessary, and the fumes are also bad.

I think it took 6 or 7. The box comes with 10 pads.

That definitely makes more sense.

I find by doing only the basic wash (no wax, no clear coat) the black plastic stays black. The extra products applied by the car wash just build up on the plastic and glass and the vehicle looks exactly like your neighbor's. Especially if the sides and other places were the sun is less direct, are as crappy looking as the top.

I find by doing only the basic wash (no wax, no clear coat) the black plastic stays black. The extra products applied by the car wash just build up on the plastic and glass and the vehicle looks exactly like your neighbor's. Especially if the sides and other places were the sun is less direct, are as crappy looking as the top.
