I have two night lights plugged into the AC outlets in the back seating area and the bed. I think the
truck sees a current draw on the AC inverter output and prevents Auto Start/Stop.
So just to confirm it's not the other many reasons that prevent AS/S - have you unplugged those and tested?

Why does the engine not always stop when I expect it to?
The system is designed to work in a way that complements other vehicle systems, allowing them to operate at optimum performance.
The system does not stop the engine if:
  • The driver door is open.
  • Your vehicle is at high altitude.
  • The heated windshield is on.
  • The engine is warming up.
  • The outside temperature is too low or too high.
  • The battery charge is low.
  • The battery temperature is outside the optimal operating range.
  • The engine is required to run to maintain interior climate and reduce fogging.

Can you post a pic of the lights?

Finally ran a test. With the lights plugged in the Auto S/S turns off as soon as I start the engine. With the lights unplugged the S/S does not turn off without pressing the switch. I had a 2019 Ranger that I used the light to disable S/S and it worked for the over 4 years that I owned it. I'll keep you posted if things change. For now I'm leaving the lights plugged in.

Talked about the easiest and cheapest solution then!

Thanks! So the lights are always on?
The AC receptables are only energized when the truck is running. So you want the lights on at that time. There is no drain when the engine is off. I put tape over the sensor to make sure the lights will be on light or dark. The ones I have only supposed to come on when it's dark. I'm not sure you need two, one might do it. I do know the S/S goes to off as soon as I start the truck and stays that way the whole time the truck is running.
