Most provinces and states have these stickers as checklist items in the safety check when reselling the vehicle, so without them you fail the safety check. In Canada you are even required to have both the English and the French stickers, and you have to buy the French ones when you import a vehicle from the U.S.A.

I just did mine. I did not remove my visors. I used a BATTERY powered heat gun, not a full-on 1500 watt heat gun. Hair dryer probably would work too. Just hit it for a couple seconds where you want to start and then get it started with fingernail or plastic scraper (no metal!). Heat an inch or two over for a couple seconds, then peel, heat, then peel. Came off pretty quick and easy for the visors. The sticker on the mirror was a PITA and came off in pieces, but it did eventually come off.

I still have the shadow/residue on there. I did try wiping with alcohol a couple times without much luck. Next step is to try to soak them for a few minutes, someone else mentioned that worked, as well as Goo Gone. When I did another car, I soaked a paper towel in alcohol, laid it on there, and flipped the visor up so it would stay. Worked pretty well and I'll probably try the same here. Same for the mirror sticker residue.

Wow. Been in the 100's here for the last week or two. I may just take them off, set them outside and peal them off.
