Why?

I find the stickers unattractive. Also, they reflect photons instead of absorbing them like my matte black felt tape - reducing glare.

Although the most unattractive part is when I lift the covered safety stickers to expose the mirror. Still need to apply felt tape there!

How many of you remove these unsightly stickers on the visors and do they come off clean ?

What??? And not be able to flip the visor back down for instructions mid-roll???

So since you’ve had your truck for a while now…. If the stickers disappear will that trigger the ADHD in the “other” direction.

Nah, that's OCD!



And now it occurs to me . . . taking off those stickers would let you put on your own with more "favorable" rules.

Heatgun to remove sticker, be careful not to overheat or stretch the plastic pulling it off. Then soak with rubbing alcohol to remove adhesive. The adhesive takes time and effort but both visors can be done in a few hours. 100% worth it IMO.

Goo Gone works great for stickers

I tried it and it wasn't noticeably better. Goo Gone is more aggressive and I chose just using alcohol over it to not "shine" the plastic over with all the rubbing. The trick is to keep a super damp paper towel over the adhesive for ~10mins, rub, and repeat.

Half my dang owners manual is lawyer speak.
Half that half is child seat info. That stuff should have been in a separate book so that us non child raising people could trash it.
The stupid visor stickers are going away.

Me too. I used stick-on black felt tape to cover those permanent stickers

The Car Talk guys always waxed poetic about using electrical tape to cover an always-on Check Engine light.
