How do I reset the trip odometer?

Someone please help, I filled up my hybrid XLT with gas for the first time and I don't know how to reset the mileage at the upper left of my digital speedometer. I keep reading about the Instrument Cluster Display in the manual, but I get nowhere. I don't see Trip 1 or Trip 2, or Reset Individual Values.

I see I need to be more specific, though I also want to know what the Trip 1 and Trip 2 mileage is good for.

What I really want to know is how I can keep track of how many miles I drove since I last filled my gas tank. You know in the old days when you divide the miles driven by the gallons refilled to figure out your own gas mileage? Not that the computer will lie, but I always like figuring it myself.

Any suggestions?

You have to go to the screen selection menu and select Trip 2 to be visible. To reset the values, scroll to the Trip screen you want to reset. Once there, hold down the OK button on your steering wheel until it resets. Usually takes about 3-4 seconds.

Vicki, I think the steering wheel buttons are different on my XL compared to your XLT so I won't include button photos... I hope you've figured out how to navigate display settings.

You want to choose the display that looks like my first photo, click the steering wheel button with three horizontal lines to view the settings in the second photo, then choose Trip 1 or Trip 2 and Reset All Values.

I can’t find it ether, I am not seeing the trip miles in the upper left corner like the photo above. 1726.7. 2024 XLT hybrid.

I let TRIP 1 run all the time. Shows total miles on truck. I reset TRIP 2 after each refill.
An alternate use would be when taking a L O N G trip, to fill the tank, reset both, let one add up the trip and let one keep track of each refill. The OCD in me likes to look at numbers.

I let TRIP 1 run all the time. Shows total miles on truck. I reset TRIP 2 after each refill.

The Tripometer will eventually rollover. At least in miles, which I think is 10k.
I use TRIP 1 for every tank, and TRIP 2 for every oil change.
