I think it is 4” on XL and XLT, 6.5” on Lariat.

Yeah, 6.5 in xlt only for the fx4 package, and standard in lariat

Sometimes it looks pretty big in between the dials (I have seen 6.5" mentioned"), but sometimes I sear it looks so tiny, like 4x2" or something

Example of "large" display: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/26-6-mpg-for-2-0l-maverick-lariat-fx4.819/

Example of small display: https://www.cnet.com/a/img/AVOf0e7l...f-8841-af5e84838cae/2022-ford-maverick-37.jpg
The first is a 2.0L Ecoboost, the second is a hybrid. Look at the left dial. The lowest part is where regen level registers. They might also represent different trim levels.

Just so it is clear, the 4" vs 6.5" center screen isn't engine-dependent. The XLT with FX4 package, and all Lariat versions receive the larger screen.

Anyone else prefer the needle fuel gauge on the smaller display vs. the linear segmented line fuel gauge on the larger display?

Definitely prefer the needle. I hate the linear type.

The "small" display on my XL hybrid is easy to read. Sometimes bigger is not better. Please no that's what she said jokes.

You must have a Lariat to have the 6.5 in screen. This is a real bummer to me, but I’m not going to trade my XLT hybrid for a Lariat and pay $000s more just to get a larger screen.
