Hood protector recommendations?

I'm still waiting for someone to make one that actually deflects wind, therefore rocks and bugs over the windshield. I've had one on my Sport Trac 15 years with no rock chips and minimal bugs.

I just bought this one after a rock hit my windshield today and cracked it. Dealer actually had it in stock. Seems to be discontinued online. Was able to use my Ford points it was $89. Hopefully it helps some for rocks and bugs.

I want one that mounts with fasteners and not stick on like the Aeroskins. I was thinking AVS Bugflector II Bug Deflector 25980. Hoping it doesnt shake the hood. Wasnt able to find reviews mounted on the Marvericks yet.

Oh wow! OK maybe I'll wait a bit on hood deflectors.. I hope he had the right part # AVS 25980.

I just put on my AVS II hood deflector and had 3/4 fastener holes misaligned. Can't recommend it unless you don't mind a bit of drilling

Guess I got lucky and only had to drill the 2 inner tabs, yeah installation was awful on the AVS Bugflector II. It looks okay, and Im hoping will protect better because it goes a bit over the fender

I ended up ordering the Auto Ventshade (AVS) - Bugflector II Stone/Bug Deflector - 25980. Installed it with no issues. No drilling needed for me. It seemed miss-aligned when I first looked at it, but it did fit with no modification. I did use bigger retainers B196. No hood shaking and it seems solid. Really happy with the way it turned out.
