YES!

That's how huge corporations work. Just email the CEO and then he/she DROPS EVERYTHING & tells their employees "to do whatever it takes to make YOU happy"! Then they whip out their special customer satisfaction checkbook and personally overnights a few hundred checks.

Yes Farley needs to know what Ford is doing is not OK! There are also a lot of June - Aug orders that are not scheduled but people who ordered late 2021 with the same builds are already driving their Mavs. This make no sense and is just plain wrong. He is the CEO so he can tell his employees to do whatever it takes to make you happy. So tell him to put your truck on next week's schedule. If you took delivery of your Mav and paid a dollar more in ADM or Add-ons than you signed for on you order, tell him to mail you a refund check immediately.

No, of course not.

Did Santa write you back when you were 7 years old?

Has anyone received an email response from Jim Farley?

Did you pay all that EXTRA crap? . if so they were correct about woman being easy marks. No way should you have paid ONE cent more than what you agreed to when ordered. You just go home come back with your proof. They added stuff you said no too and you just took it like the paint coating. ?? I might have hit the guy who says that too me. The fact you stayed for 4 hours of nonsense meant they new they had you. I hope you didn't prove them correct about women and went home for your proof. Tell me you did. if not you proved them right. Sorry to be so harsh. Tell me I miss understood what you ended up doing.
jbpoole - This woman is no easy mark! :) I let them dig their hole... and then handed it back to them in a way they won't soon forget. Feedback is a powerful tool.

I reached out to Ford about the way I was treated and extra expenses charged, detailing each infraction. To make my case and prove credibility for my claim, my letter was written in a professional voice that expressed factual evidence backed up by the documents incurred, including the original order and the window sticker. I included copies of the window sticker and buyer's order for their reference, too. The response I received from Ford headquarters directed me to address the situation locally. The dealership I purchased my truck from is part of a much larger automotive organization, so that is where I reached out to next. The Vice President of that called me this past week to personally apologize. She let me know that she had pulled my salesman's boss and his manager into her office where they went through my complaint line by line. I had written a three page letter that stuck to the actions of each infraction, and she assured me every instance was addressed. My letter may have been long, but it was tight and concise. Long story short, the Ford dealership refunded everything I was was charged extra for plus a bit more. The check arrived the day after this conversation, and I immediately applied it to the truck loan, so the amount financed is now less than what I had anticipated it would be initially. That is a very good thing!

My advice for anyone else who might need to do this, do not be afraid to confidently speak up for yourself. If they won't listen to you at the dealership, then let them dig their own hole like I did. If you need to send a complaint to rectify your situation be sure to write matter of factly, sticking to facts not feelings. State your case using a STAR format: situation, task, action, result. In conclusion, write a short sentence of what actions you request. In my case, I summarized the total amount I was asking for so they wouldn't have to. Addressing the amount in full puts a figure in front of their face, and that holds weight. I also included that I wanted the dealership sticker removed from the tailgate. The last part of that ask struck a nerve with the VP, but it got the point across that I did not want to be a moving advertisement for the dealership.

One more note of advice: If you finance your vehicle through the dealership, they get a percentage of the loan as part of their deal with the finance company. I had been told that I had to pay the loan for the full amount of time financed, which truly didn't make sense to me. As it turns out, the dealership gets their commission with each payment. If you pay the loan off early, their part stops. That is why the finance guy at the dealership I went to lied to me about it. He told me the warranty and roadside services were only good for as long as I was paying on the loan, and he wanted the commission to continue for as long as possible. I plan to pay this off well before the 75 months it has been financed for. I am on track to have it paid off within a year.
