New 2025 XLT Mav owner here, so I have to ask, why are there so many open holes in the bed sidewall?
I'm guessing they're for accessories or features for the top of the line trim vehicles, but why are some of the holes plugged and some are open? Isn't that an invitation for snow/rain to get in there and cause rust or other problems?
Jus' askin'.

They are so you can buy accessories from Ford to fill the holes.

Right, but why aren't the holes plugged when not in use?
I think most people don't care, and it saves money not plugging them. Snow and rain are more likely to be kicked up from underneath, especially considering many people put a tonneau cover on.

To directly answer your question : $$

Run a bolt through those holes in order to measure the size, then purchase plugs from Amazon for $5

Good luck

.

A penny's worth of silicon caulk will do the trick.

I just noticed those on my new Mav yesterday while I was reinstalling my tonneau cover from my old one, don't remember seeing them on that one. I'll have to do a quick plug design and print it on the 3d printer...

A good hardware store has different sized plastic plugs you can use. I had to look as I never noticed them with the spray liner. I don’t think they are a problem
