Hiding the fire extinguisher in plain sight

I know it ain't elegant, but it's a perfect fit. The wadded-up white paper napkin is to keep it from rattling.

I like that! Quick access is important when you need one. The cubby one looks cool too, but open door, run to back of truck, open tailgate, open cubby, grab fire extinguisher. Too many steps. But is that big enough to deal with an engine fire?

It's better than nothing. If you get to it early it should work. if a fire is already melting the dash, probably not.
