Hi folks, I picked up my XL about 3 weeks ago and just managed to hide my AAWireless adapter in a way Im happy with. I found some 90 deg ribbon type cables and just chucked the adapter inside the panel. I should probably stick the adapter in place with some 2 sided tape but so far im happy with it. Long term I have some concern about the cable failing due to being pinched between trim panels but the cables were cheap so I'll roll the dice.

Please share the link to that cable!! I tried 3 different cables for my Apple CarPlay wireless adapter that did not seem to transfer data and work. I’d love to try that cable rather than use the 180°adaptor I currently have…

I just taped mine under the console with command strips with the original cable it came with. Sometimes it malfunctions and I have to unplug it to reboot it. Plus if we really wanted we could see the lights on the unit.

I added a link to the original post, the 150 mm length.

If this is going to be a long term solution for you, you could always notch the panel a bit with a file/dremel/utility knife. I bet it wouldn’t be noticeable if you removed the cable after and if you did a good job, might even look like it is supposed to be there. I really like that look, but have the same issue as @AutobahnSHO and need to unplug mine occasionally. Thanks for the post and idea!

I have to unplug it once in a while depending on where my iPhone is on me.

Same here. Out of sight unless you put your head down on the console.

I did something similar, mounted it on the underside of the USB 'pod'. If I need to re-pair it, the pairing button is on the side and easy to reach. Looks like I may have to replace the stock double-stick pad with something 'stickier'...

My set up with the Motorola MA1 (attached to underside with velcro) connected to top "C" port with a 90 degree adapter:

The lower port is connected to a CD player located in glove compartment - I unplug it if / when using flash drives.

My Motorola MA1. I have gone back to just plugging my phone in for wired Android Auto. My phone is an older Samsung A10 and battery runs down pretty quickly. When I upgrade my phone I will use the Motorola again and put in a charge pad.
