I am getting a 2025 XL Maverick this week and I would like to know if it is possible to switch out the XL head lights for the XLT head light unit since it has the led strip around it for day time running?

The XLT does not have the LED strip your referring to. Only the Lariat has that.

Good to know I miss saw a video then today. Ok so different trim, but same question can you put the Lariat's head light unit in a xl truck?

I would wait until FORM LIGHTING comes out with their after market headlights. They look better and will be much cheaper than the Lariat headlights.

2025 electrical diagrams haven't been released to the usual third-party channels yet. The BCM will probably need to be reprogrammed, but I can't confirm if the wiring is the same. Hopefully someone with better resources can chime in.

For 22-24, they don't need any wiring changes, but they require programming changes to the BCM using Forscan to enable the DRL signature. There are multiple threads on here about that swap.

The Lariat headlights are perfect, they are classy without being over done. I would not own a Maverick today if it were not for those headlights on the Lariat.

I believe the Lariats have 1 more pin than the XL/XLT connector for the DRLs but I haven't checked it out myself.
