Here are the instructions to the Ford Bed Rail System I have.

I’m trying to install a bed rail system on my truck and I was able to get one rail up, but the other side is giving me issues.

At about 50% in, the M8 Screw gets stuck…I’m either going to strip the screw or mess up the thread if I try to install it.

I’m not sure if the Line X got into the thread, but I tried cleaning it out and I’m still getting resistance.

Any idea how to clear this out or make it easier so the thread fits properly?

I installed (reinstalled) mine after putting in a modular bedliner. I remember that the front bolts were slightly different than the two that are closer to the tailgate (on each side). My biggest struggle was to keep those big washers in place between the bolt holes in the bed and the rail itself (spacing for the modular bedliner). They can slip down in between the liner and the bed wall. Probably a lot easier with the SIBL.

My truck had SIBL and some of the threads were a little plugged. Dealer had to tap them clean.

Try a tap or thread chaser, M8 x 1.25

Get a tap and clean out the threads.

Went to the hardware store, got a tap to clean the threads, and installed perfectly!

I cleaned out the yellow lock tight on the bolts as well since the bolts were almost stripped from the first time I tried it. You think I’ll have any issues since the lock tite was removed?

Good the tap cleaned out the threads of the RivNut threads.
If you notice the screws a bit loose later, some blue 242 locktite would be enough to keep them tight.

I moved my DIY rails from my ecoboost to my hybrid after several months and the screws were still tight even with me using some nickel antiseize on the threads vs. locktite.

Yes. Both rails will fly off and maim the driver behind you.
