Hard Trifold Tonneau Covers that actually trifold in the $600 or less range?

Here's one for $649 it's a hard trifold. I know you said you don't want to have to remove it but this one you simply pull a lever and lift off. Watch the video.

I was in the same dilemma, facing the high price of tri-folds and toying with the idea of getting a soft cover because of the cost. I didn’t want to lose the bed space or deal with the uninstall/reinstall turmoil of one that didn’t flip up. I landed on the Rough Country for ~$750. Nice unit. Installed easily, super tough, looks great. Lovin’ it.

Have you considered a hard roll-up? I have the Truxedo Sentry, which is above your target price, but it gives me the same capability as the tri-fold.

If you roll it all the way up so it's tight to the back window, there is virtually no loss of bed space.

I used to own a business that sold a lot of name-brand tonneaus and I've pretty much tried them all. I like this style the best and there is no velcro to deal with. It might be worth looking to see if anyone is offering a product in your price range.

For around 800 with tax and free shipping the rough country tri-fold is hard to beat.

I have the low profile version with no complaints, both are pretty easy to install and remove if needed for complete bed use. Took me 45 minutes to install taking my time as well as adding extra rubber weatherstripping for the tailgate.

It's perfect for my needs and access to my bed.

For the price the Bison hard folding cover doesn't look too bad. Appears to be a knockoff Extang Solid Fold for less than half the price.

As I said above I have the Rough Country and I like it so far.
The only thing that I didn't like is the cheap, flimsy drain tube that was supplied with the cover. I couldn't get it to make a bend without crimping shut so I used 1/4" fuel hose instead and it worked great.
