But they’re not DRL and they don’t function as turn signals. Just running accent lights

I ordered a set over a month ago from Mr. BOOM 5.0 the video looks great can't wait to get them for my Maverick is accessories maybe a little bit more but they are well built and look great. I have learned a lot from him and when he went down to Dallas that was the first time I seen all the different colors of the Mavericks like I said can't wait to get them from him.

Help me understand something about the Maverick's lights. I don't have my XLT yet so I can only guess about DRL's. The Lariat has DRL in the upper light housing. I get that. There are no DRL in XL and XLT.

The DRL in the Lariat come on when all of these conditions are met (per the owner manual); you turn the car and system on, you move it out of park, the light switch is set to autolamp, and the headlights are not on. Otherwise they are off.

Headlights automatically come on in low light conditions and when the wipers are in use so DRL turn off in those situations.

The Lariat has the wiring for DRL functions. The XL and XLT do not.

How do you wire these after market DRL to work as DRL?

Is this a condition managed thru ForScan?

I like those light bars the OP has added but not too keen on them if they don't function as DRL.

They wire right to the headlight harness. The low beams run as the DRL so when those are on, the strips are on

You need to go to YouTube Mr Boom 5.0 and watch his videos yes his prices are more expensive but worth every penny of it he spends a lot of time designing his stuff for the Mavericks and making sure that it is 100% like I said if you go and look at his videos you understand this and a lot more hope this helps out you in Illinois.

Functionally these are the same as the kit MrBoom offers. And his still utilizes wire taps for the turn signal. Although looks like his use the longer length variations of those lights.

I guess you forgot that this club it's about helping out each one of your sisters and brothers out !! I believe this gentleman up in Illinois asked for some information it's up to him look at both of these drl's on video and make up his mind which one he would like to purchase and put on Maverick . Have you forgot that there are Chevys, Ford's, Chryslers, Jeeps, Toyotas ext. I don't see people getting upset when someone buys a different vehicle that you have so chill don't cuss and let the gentleman make up his own mind do take care and have a nice Sunday evening.
