Zach, has the Job 2 order banks opened yet? If not, any idea when Ford will allow ordering Job 2 orders?

It does not look like Fords Ordering Site has been updated. We are checking it every hour. Sometimes it opens towards the end of the day. I will continue to check and once we can, I will let everyone know!

Has the Job 2 order banks opened yet? Tim, the Ford Video Guy, said by the end of the business day (Monday), the Job 2 ordering will be available...

With upcoming tariffs in January, I cannot afford a 25% increase in price of the Maverick (Ford cannot absorb this cost and pass it to the consumer). So, for now, I will not be ordering a new Maverick. Again, thank you for keeping us inform about the ordering process.

Order now to price protect Maverick.

How do you know it will be price protected? Most likely the sale transaction will occur in March or April if I order now.

I've just gotten my Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid job-2 quote from Granger. Thanks Chris! I appreciate that there's no bogus dealer add-ons. Nice clean quote just as I asked.

Looks like a great deal. As soon as I come back from the Holidays I hope to get it locked in with my deposit. Figure the truck will get built in Feb will arrive in March/April which works fine for my needs. No real problem driving 10_+ hours to get it - just think it's a nice road trip for me and a driving partner.

I'm not worried about any potential 25% tax increase getting slapped on - at least not without a lot of debate and congressional push back, so for the short term at least I think we're good. If I'm wrong I can always get a different vehicle (not going to pay 25% chicken tax on anything).

Trump will issue an executive order--does not need to go through Congress.

If your order is 25% higher when it comes in and you cancel your order, you will lose your $500 deposit. I cannot afford this risk myself.

Best of luck to you!

That's the question isn't it. Will Granger waive the 'non-refundable' deposit and allow it to be refundable if there's a new tax added after the order is placed? Personally I think it would be good business sense, but would want to see that in writing to confirm.

If Granger put this in writing, I would reconsider my decision.

Mexico is not subject to chicken tax tariff on imported light duty trucks.

Also glad I am going to pass on my job-1 order that's in process with a local dealer. Not as good as a deal as Granger, none of the pro trailer assist, and quite frankly, I'm a little concerned about getting a job-1 vehicle. Hopefully when they start Job-2 in February they'll have all the kinks worked out + maybe they'll go with the beefier axles + maybe maybe they'll have real fix for the phantom 12v drain/battery killer. Seems like it's all worth waiting for.

I guess it's not officially a chicken tax, but it's a tax on a small truck to protect non-existent domestic production - so it's a chicken tax in my book. :)

I'm all in. Deposit posted with Granger.

Looking forward to driving up to Granger in a few (4?) months and picking up my retirement vehicle. I'm giving up a company car and since we already have a 23 Bolt EUV I want a vehicle for everything ELSE than what the Bolt is good for (trips, truck stuff, towing, AWD nasty weather). I doubt we'll put more than 6,000 miles a year on it.

Job-2 Lariat AWD hybrid + 4k tow + keypad. Desert Sand color.
