What do you think @Shay? Would it be rude to bring in a print out of the TSB with highlighted?

Any one else here specifically know if they had 22-2493 done & if you did what were your results?
I think any printouts you can bring to help justify your existence with the dealership is helpful.

I had both tsbs done and it solved the problem about 80%. It's still unrefined and crude, but not as dangerous and annoying as it used to be

mine also was greatly improved with software update but the grab right at 3 mph is still there.

It's a difficult "problem" to solve; but I know the solution. Just I don't know how to implement it.

The "problem" is when the truck goes from 100% regen brake (electromagnetic resistance) to 100% hydraulic pressure on brake pads (friction resistance) at once at 3 mph.

If they "blended" the brakes at a higher speed, even 6 mph (the first generation hybrid Escape used 6 mph) it would have a much smoother feel.

You'll never get the grabby brakes if you brake strongly enough to force blending at higher speeds, or if your battery is so full (near bottom of a hill) that it can't regen and you are using only friction pads.

It's not the brakes fault or really the software's fault. It's the fact braking is a tactile process and with electromagnetic braking, you (or the car) are not touching anything. And then you all at once start touching the brakes. And they are ice cold. And maybe damp. And the coefficient of friction may change in that first 1 second.
