I picked up my Maverick order on Monday, and now, my watch has ended.
I know I was religiously checking MTC for literally any kind of content while waiting for my truck to come in, so it only feels right to give back and make a post about my experience and share some pics. I’ve included a couple of shots in different lighting and a screenshot of the different dates involved in my order process.
This was my very first vehicle purchase, and I couldn’t be happier with the truck and my experience with Hawk Ford in St Charles, IL. Ended up at $750 under MSRP with the recent college grad discount, so I’d definitely recommend applying for that discount if you have graduated from college or grad school within the past two years.
I was able to test drive a hybrid XLT a few months ago back when I was trying to decide whether to keep my order or not, and I loved the size and the way it drove. That being said, if you’re trying to decide between an XLT and a Lariat and you can swing the few grand difference, I think the Lariat is MUCH nicer and 100% worth it — especially if you plan to drive yours until the wheels fall off like me! All the other extra goodies aside, I think the brown/blue seats look and feel incredible.
As far as mods go, I’ve added AUOVO floor liners, Mabett under seat storage liners, a stubby Jr antenna, an OMT tailgate assist (DeeZee was too loud for my liking and OMT’s is silent), and I’ve got a Pace Edwards UltraGroove retractable bed cover on the way. Looking forward to all the adventures I’m going to have in this awesome truck!!
