Yes, I specc'd an XLT and with all the options my build was $28k. I walked out with this one at $36k. I was the last customer to check out at almost 11pm. Headed home and went to bed cause I started at 5am this morning. I guess with the lack of sleep (didn't really fall asleep until 1 because I was still coming off the high) I didn't really make that clear.
That’s completely different! Congrats are in order then

He's smiling because he loves his new truck and can afford it. You're smiling because you enjoy being smug and self-satisfied. The dealership is smiling because they made good margin to make up for low sales volume.

Sounds like everybody wins!
I'm sorry who are you to jump in this conversation and call me smug and self-satisfied?

Seems right to me a little ADM to have it immediately or wait for MRSP. Plus he got some extras and the most important thing is he is friggin' HAPPY!!!! Be happy can be priceless.

Did I see you last night in Kahului? I was the guy who came by the dealer just before dark as yall were walking away from a Bronco?
Nah, I'm on Oahu. So must've been somebody else. Funny though; I was walking away from the grey Bronco they had prepped for the buyer to pick up when I was walking up to the building lol

Yeah thats exactly the scene I walked up on on my weekly Maverick check. I was on the phone to my wife when I parked after spotting a A51 from the road. When I walked up it was gone? So I asked the couple I thought was you if they had seen it. Then they looked stunned and asked the salesman where it went? I think it was going back in to be cleaned or prepped for em. Then they said "we kindof have our hands on that one", so I told em I just oredered from Granger anyways but wanted to scope em out more. I also told her about the $3000 off MSRP deal after the dealer went inside, so maybe I helped her negotiate a bit. I havent seen less than 5k markup at Valley Isle Ford, even on 2wd Ecosports.

Glad you got a good deal, sounds like the situation is better over there. Enjoy your truck, I think they will be popular here. That is once the boys figure out how to put 12" wide wheels with skinny tires on em :ROFLMAO:

Again- if you are willing to pay above sticker for a vehicle that IS out there if you searched hard enough you're being taken advantage of and i feel sorry for ya. Seeing as I am getting my exact build and Ill be paying below sticker- I see zero justification for paying more. If your reasoning is its HARD to find or you are impatient then you are a sucker. End of story. You cannot compare prices of products that are no longer build/out of production to a brand new car (even if cut off for builds are done on 22). Production is still happening, and yes majority are customer builds however dealerships get x number of builds a month or year so some of those are intended for lots. So if you work hard enough you absolutely can find your build at MSRP. But impatience works in the favor of dealerships looking to pick your pockets.
if its that ea
Is this a Lariat Luxury or not? Does it have heated seats? B&O audio?

Also this supply and demand argument is stupid. Yes, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. No, no one should pay more than MSRP. The Maverick Hybrid is not a necessity. You can find MSRP deals on other cars.. BUY OTHER CARS. I cannot wrap my mind around who wants a Maverick at "market" rates, thousands of dollars over sticker. What good does buying a Hybrid do? How many miles does it take to re-coup $5000 ADM in gas savings from the hybrid vs the EB? I'd be damned if I want the Maverick or any other vehicle on this planet for any amount of ADM.

This stuff is just ridiculous. Hard to congratulate anyone on being completely taken for a ride. My special paint color Lariat Luxury Hybrid MSRP is $31,360 (my price is $29,300 once it is delivered). That means at a minimum the OP paid $5,000 ADM. Congratulations? OK.

The Maverick is a hugely appealing vehicle up to $30,000 at which point the appeal diminishes rapidly with every additional dollar. It is very much a price-point vehicle. It's designed and built to be cheap.
I mean, there isnt any other options for a Hybrid pickup I'm aware of so, no there was literally nothing else out there? And trust me, I looked. Maybe the Santa Cruz? But that thing is ugly as sin, and yes, a vehicle with a bed was a necessity for me. Had to be able to haul farm crap, and my 2004 Ranger was basically on it's last legs.

So are you gonna do it? I just went out to the truck for a quick break and while sitting in it all I could think about is what am I gonna add next. XD So it's safe to say I'm not regretting it.

Oh yeah, im going to buy the truck I didnt order. Mainly because I plan on moving before my current order would be built and it would be nice to have the truck for that instead of renting one or renting one of those vans.

Forgot to add. This truck was ordered pre some of the price hikes, so its overall a few hundred cheaper than the one I ordered after Christmas.

Well, since I wasn't the one who ordered it and was basically buying it off the lot, I got hit with the full monty. I asked my salesman if there was wiggle room and he said that they had 3 people scheduled to come take a look at it in the morning (I had just squeezed in before they closed) and that was just out of the 10 people they had called back that day. So he pretty much said it was take it or leave it. :( Not too bad though, I think I only paid $8k over what the delivery price was projected on the build my maverick site.
Hook, Line, Sinker! Must be fish fry Friday.:ROFLMAO:

Nope, just a Lariat without any of the fancy stuff sadly. And sure, that's your opinion. But can I ask if you've ever lived in Hawaii? If not, then you might not be aware that it's an island in the middle of the ocean and I can't exactly go out of state and get a better deal. And even if I could, the cost to have it delivered here would probably come out to the "minimum the OP paid $5,000 ADM." There are three Ford dealerships on this island and let me tell you, the probably all have to pay the same shipping costs. Which is probably a lot cheaper than I could get since they probably get bulk shipments. Hey @Jmsilver25 and @MLowe05 , can't we just be happy for each other without name calling? Folks have different situations and different circumstances.

The struggle is real. Paradise can be a harsh place. People think Oahu prices are bad. :ROFLMAO: A vehicle takes a $600 barge ride to get from Oahu to Maui and they rarely come here first. I can only imagine what Kauai prices are.

Just check out this sweet deal on a 80s toyota with 100,000 miles!
