Goodbye Gladiator Rubicon/ Hello Maverick XLT FX4

Traded in my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and the Ford dealer gave me $1,400 and a Maverick XLT FX4. So I had a little cash to spend on my new companion. (Of course, I spent extra but you can't beat the bargain that a Maverick is.)

That Rubicon looks bad ass. I don't know if I could trade that for a Maverick. Of course I never owned one, so maybe looks aren't everything.

Yeah it was great truck. But 5 years is a good time to maximize value. I was thinking of getting another Gladiator, but it was time to move on, and the Maverick suited my current needs better. And so far I love it.

Very nice thank you for sharing - I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ that I couldn’t part with so I kept it but very different application as you know than the Maverick

Did It have the Pentastar engine cause you are going to love the fuel mileage on your Mav compared to the Jeep! But it was a nice looking Jeep!

Thx. Yup that's one of the reasons I was ready to move on. It was a great truck, but also a 6 speed manual Rubi geared for low end, so even worse highway mpg than most

I did my time with the Rubicon as well. If you’re willing to risk it for the biscuit, it is the best tool for the job. But as I get older, I just want to chill and go camping, or make trips to Home Depot, where the Maverick is a better choice.
