I received a check today from CarMax for $1,200 more than I paid over a year and a half ago for my 2022 Lariat Hybrid. It had 23,000 miles. My 2023 Atlas Blue Lariat hybrid is due in this week with the dealer sticking with msrp price $30,320 with hitch and full size spare.

What just happened here? Last I remember, someone was being a grumpy old GM guy and called the OP a flipper. A couple people called him out on it, and now it’s gone?!?

Mavforever, that’s fantastic, we’re in a weird time. I had a similar experience. I traded my zero factory option 22 XL hybrid (with my accessories granted) in on my 23 XLT hybrid. I had 49,600 miles on the 22 and I still got 23k!

I too have sold my MY2022 Maverick.

Sold my MY22 Maverick XLT Hybrid to Carvana

Sold my MY22 Maverick XLT Hybrid that has these factory options added:
Co-Pilot360 + Rear Sliding Window + 110V/400W Outlet in Cab
Also added aftermarket: Hard Drop-In Bedliner + Rear Splash Guards + Front Windows Tinted

Sold to Carvana on 8/28/2023 for $31,404
That price is $5,335.79 over my out-the-door price of $26,068.21

Not bad for a used vehicle that I have had for 1 3/4 years and 9,269 miles.

My MY23 Maverick XLT Hybrid has been built and is on the train for delivery in less than two weeks.

It has these factory options added: Co-Pilot360 + Trailer Tow Hitch + 110V/400W Outlet in Cab

Total out-the-door price is $28,381.46 which includes all taxes and fees.

So in effect I get my brand new MY23 Maverick XLT Hybrid for FREE and an additional cash profit of $3,022.54

The reason I did this was my MY2022 Maverick was missing the Trailer Hitch.

My deal wasn’t quite as good as the others but I’m still happy to have traded my 22 loaded FE Lariat Lux with 28k miles, a windshield chip and a rust bubble on the roof for a new 23 Lariat Lux with 40 miles and a new warranty for about $860 I don’t think the FE added any value with Carmax.

This thread sparked my imagination that may be I should sell my 2023 Maverick XLT Hybrid in favor of my 2024 XL Hybrid order that's on the docket! I do not have the VIN for the 2024 model yet. But it has priority 2 now with one of the largest Maverick Dealers so I am confident it will be built. Would you sell the 2023 XLT in favor of an 2024 XL?

I'd like to thank whoever traded in or sold their Chili Pepper Red '22 hybrid XLT with 45k miles on it... I just bought it!! Ford dealer in Marysville, WA had it on their lot.

I've only had it a week... and most of my driving has been very tame, due to my 7month old puppy riding in the back seat (already have a hammock installed for her comfort). She's a 90lb lab/corso mix, and does not appreciate it when I stop short or swing her around corners too fast.
