22 Hybrid built April 2022, delivered May 7. No issues for two years beyond the recalls. Currently has 33.5 K miles. Changing the oil and see it has a front cover leak. Took it to the dealer and now waiting for parts (estimate is two weeks for repairs). I have not seen this as an issue so it is just an FYI.

Is this covered under warrantee? Can you still safely use the vehicle while you wait?

It is covered and I was given an Edge to use until it is fixed but I miss the little truck

I assume you're talking about the valve cover? If so, where did you notice the leak coming from? Was it near the top by the spark plugs or on the sides?
The timing cover. Leak is at the seal on the side.

Did it look like this? Mine has a drip in the seal area @ 60k kms. Didn't seem to be coming from the seal itself, more like a seep from mating surfaces. Not really enthusiastic about having it torn into.
Cheers.

Happened on my wife’s 2016 fusion energi @ 98000 miles. Covered under 7/100 certified warranty. Otherwise a somewhat expensive repair…
Noticed by a Mercedes tech who was helping me do the 100k service at the dealership where I worked. Changing the battery coolant is a little tricky and I wanted it on a lift.

I just did an oil change on my 2022 eco boost (9500 miles) and noticed a small amount of oil in the same location.

You could also tighten the fasteners to spec around that area to see if it resolves the issue.

This happened to me on a 22 Hybrid built in Feb 22 as well. Same leak in the same location, was without it for 2 weeks this past March while the timing cover was removed and re-sealed. I had about 13k miles at the time - hoping it doesn’t return but I’m a bit skeptical.

Cheers.

Hard to tell as there was quite a bit of oil. The technician had to clean off the whole area and then do a dye leak test. I am also nervous that this might be a sign of things to come. At least it isn't a rear seal leak (I'm worried about the possibility of a main bearing failure and catastrophic results). This is the first ever vehicle I have ever purchased an extended warranty for just in case.

My Maverick has now been at the dealer for more than two weeks. I will say that this dealer has been good from the purchasing standpoint but I have not had any experience with their service beyond recalls and oil changes. I must say the process for this repair has been disappointing. I understand that stuff happens and I can live with that (even if not happy about it) but I do expect honesty. I was told that they needed to order parts to fix the leak and that it would be done that first week (by Thursday, last week). I called on Friday and was told that it was a more difficult job because it was a hybrid (not sure what that has to do with the ICE) and that it would be finished Monday (only needing a test drive). I called on Tuesday and this time the story was that they needed a special wrench and had to order one and now it may be next week. I have checked the truck location several times a day and it has not moved from the parking lot in all this time. I wish they would have just said, we are slammed and don't have the time or a technician to work on it. The poor build quality from FORD is a known issue but the service end issues are an equally frustrating experience. Car ownership sure has changed for old timers like myself.
