My 22 Maverick is at the Ford dealership right now for a scheduled appointment to have three recall updates (24C01/24V140,23C41/23V848,23E09), and an oil change. And with my bad luck, I got a flat tire last night so they are also replacing a tire. It was towed over to them this morning, just got my update from the service advisor that the tire placement went well but that the recalls are going to take longer than expected and needs to stay with them overnight.

BUT - they are also now saying that when they checked it in, the entire dash lit up with warning icons - an issue that I have never had before. They said it's likely not related to the flat tire/tow, and hope that the software update resolves this?

The truck was dropped off in back from the tow truck and I checked in with the service team, so I did not see it after it was unhooked. Anyone have any idea what could have happened or had similar experience with something like this happening? Not loving that there's a new problem that didn't exist when I dropped this off for "normal maintenance"...

Was it towed because of the work needing done and not driveable or because it doesn't have a spare tire?

I mean, technically you didn't drop it off, the tow truck driver did. I'm not a tow truck driver so I don't know if there was a need to start it for any reason when dropping it off, but they were the last person with it unless the dealer did something and then the lights came on. No way for us to know.

It was towed because I do not have a spare tire.

Yeah, I feel like it's really hazy since I didn't physically hand it over to them, but I was with the tow driver til just before they went to the back lot.

Not necessarily saying anything about funny business, just very confused about the culmination and timing of it all.

I wonder if that happened after that many recalls/software updates were done all at once, and if proper procedure wasn't followed.
