  1. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    That would have been nice but they act like they are doing you a big favor in giving you a loaner. The process was just like getting a regular rental car including the standard care contract. They take your insurance information and offer you deductible protection for an additional $10/day.
  2. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    The Edge drives like a pig. Very slow to get moving and if you lean heavy on the accelerator the gas mileage is horrible. I'm getting about 1/3 of the fuel efficiency of the Maverick. The only perk is that it still has XM radio which I'm too cheap to buy.
  3. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    My Maverick has now been at the dealer for more than two weeks. I will say that this dealer has been good from the purchasing standpoint but I have not had any experience with their service beyond recalls and oil changes. I must say the process for this repair has been disappointing. I...
  4. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    Hard to tell as there was quite a bit of oil. The technician had to clean off the whole area and then do a dye leak test. I am also nervous that this might be a sign of things to come. At least it isn't a rear seal leak (I'm worried about the possibility of a main bearing failure and...
  5. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    The timing cover. Leak is at the seal on the side.
  6. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    It is covered and I was given an Edge to use until it is fixed but I miss the little truck
  7. Good luck has finally run out! Front cover leak [UPDATE}

    22 Hybrid built April 2022, delivered May 7. No issues for two years beyond the recalls. Currently has 33.5 K miles. Changing the oil and see it has a front cover leak. Took it to the dealer and now waiting for parts (estimate is two weeks for repairs). I have not seen this as an issue so it is...
  8. Ford needs to call us Maverick Ambassadors and provide referral credits

    Must be the VB color. In 4 months of driving, I've only had one person honk at me at a red light and they were mainly excited that they might get their order soon. I'm not complaining about the lack of attention. 4,000 trouble free miles to date, this little truck is not only fun to drive but...
  9. Anyone tried the new Pairr wireless CarPlay dongle?

    I bought (on a chance) a unit called an Autobox on Amazon. It was on sale for only $70 and it works as well as any other one that I have used before. Sometimes there is a brief lag to start up and occasionally it won't connect if your phone is locked (iPhone) but you can toggle it on using the...
  10. Have Mav!

    11 months and three days and my Hybrid Lariat+Lux is finally resting in my driveway. Built on 4/5, shipped on 4/6, arrived at the railhead at Port Wilmington Delaware 4/29. Sat waiting for a transporter until 5/11, when it was delivered late in the day. It was sitting next to 3 other Lariats and...
  11. 5-5-22 chat for October 2021 order

    It is crazy. My dealer has 8 hybrid Mavericks piled up at the Port of Wilmington "pending transport" to MD. Just over an hour up the highway, so close and yet so far.
  12. Lariat Lux price includes CP360?

    I've seen window stickers that have the CP360 cost separate from the LUX package cost as well as stickers where only the LUX package cost is shown. Anyone know if the CP360 is added as another charge in addition to the LUX package cost on the Lariat?
  13. 📬 02/10 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

    I talked to my salesman at Bob Bell this afternoon. He said they got 13 scheduled today, all hybrids, after months of next to nothing.
  14. Ford reimagining the Dealer Network?

    you may well be correct about this. I did not intend to advocate against the large or small dealers. I like my small dealer, they have always been fair during new vehicle purchases and have competitive service rates (and do not upsell unnecessary services). I have bought 4 Fords and 2 Hyundais...
  15. Ford reimagining the Dealer Network?

    I believe I said it was speculation. Your speculation is that my post was born of frustration which it is not, just observational. Tim Bartz said Long McArthur's monthly allocation was used during last week's scheduling yet there were reports from people who ordered from LM who got builds...
  16. Ford reimagining the Dealer Network?

    Like many others I have been waiting a long time for a Maverick. In my specific case, I have a confirmed order from June 10th (hybrid Lariat lux) with no sign of a build date. My dealer seems to have allocations but only gets one or two builds approved per month. Big dealers, especially those...
  17. ⏱ Maverick Scheduling Upcoming Week (12/6) For Production Build Weeks: 1/3/22 – 2/14/22

    I've been at priority 2 so long, "even Ezekiel thinks my mind has gone", Today's dealer update was the less than informative " your truck will get here in 4-6 months"
  18. Maverick is going to get a lot more popular

    I was just in Canada and filled up my Ranger (~ 15 gallons for those Metric-ly challenged).
  19. ⏱ Maverick Scheduling Upcoming Week (11/29) For 5 Production Build Weeks: 1/3/22 – 1/31/22 !

    Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving!. No expectations of a Maverick Christmas but maybe hope for next Thursday and a mid-winter gift. In the meantime I'm going to relax and enjoy my "lump of coal".
  20. Tired of the Auto Stop Start? Install Autostop Eliminator

    Much of the time I drive my 2020 Ranger with the climate control set for the front defroster air flow only. On this setting the auto start/stop is disabled. I don't know if this will be the same for the Maverick but this works for me without buying a plug-in fix or cutting wires.
