The Edge drives like a pig. Very slow to get moving and if you lean heavy on the accelerator the gas mileage is horrible. I'm getting about 1/3 of the fuel efficiency of the Maverick. The only perk is that it still has XM radio which I'm too cheap to buy.

That would have been nice but they act like they are doing you a big favor in giving you a loaner. The process was just like getting a regular rental car including the standard care contract. They take your insurance information and offer you deductible protection for an additional $10/day.
Hmm, I've dealt with two Ford dealers the one I bought my truck from and my local one for the couple of recall updates. In lieu of a shuttle on a Saturday the sales manager where I bought the Maverick 45min away from my house told.me to grab HIS loaded Ford Edge to go shop/have lunch while they serviced my vehicle and called me to come get it when it was done. My local dealer not far from my home and work has been excellent and quick with the couple of recalls I had done there. Complimentary car wash every time, super friendly. Wish everyone on this site would get the service I've been getting.
